Save for the occasional pair of Prada pumps, there's usually not much eye candy on the Metro — if anything, the orange carpeting, pleather seats, and confused tourists are exactly the opposite. But we spotted an ad for Crystal Couture recently, while cruising the Blue Line, and decided to investigate further.
Here’s the gist: Today is the kickoff for the week-long event comprised of runway shows and high-end trunk sales, featuring 40-plus local boutiques and designers, along with music, food, and drinks — a veritable one-stop shop for browsing the best retailers in the metro area. Stop by this week to check out the daily lineup of runway shows featuring some of our fave shops, including South Moon Under and Pretty People Vintage, as well as some new gems we’ve just uncovered, such as Rockville’s Red Hue Boutique.
