This Is What A Wedding Pro’s Big Day Looks Like

When Carly Zipp began planning her wedding to Jordan Garbis, she already knew more than the average bride. That's because Zipp hailed from wedding planning site The Knot. But, to hear her describe Garbis' ultra-romantic proposal — which took place on the couple's one-year anniversary at an elaborate beachfront dinner during a surprise trip to the Mexican Riviera — you'd think he was the romance expert.

"As we got to the beach, it was empty, and the fire pits were lit up, and tiki torches made a path to a private dock [where there was] a table over the water. We sat down at a little sofa next to the table and stared at the water and stars — and that’s where he asked me. We were both giggling, almost laughing, because we were so excited and it was just so romantic, and Jordan was pretty proud of himself for the whole setup," Zipp recalls.

Their wedding took place the following August at the Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, Virginia, during a weekend-long affair that was positively flawless — from the signature cocktails to Zipp's exquisite Chanel shoes.
