Will This Polo Shirt Get You High?

As classic as a denim jacket or a pair of broken-in jeans, the polo is an another unavoidable closet staple — but that doesn't mean it has to be dullsville. Boast, who has been making collared polo tops since the '70s, has been able to add a little charm and a little extra something special to break the mold. Newly relaunched in 2010 — with a collection of ties, shorts, and blazers (and even some womenswear), the brand's 2012 offerings are still a, uh, hit.
Let's get to our favorite part — that patch of green (a.k.a. the tiny little leaf) that sits atop the left side of the tee. Look familiar? No, it's not that, Cheech. It's a Japanese maple leaf, and it's been the brand's signature symbol since the company's inception. With a second collab with Minnie Mortimer on the way, and an array of updated classics with slim fits and a Hickey-esque feel, we think their logo might be set to be the next polo horse.
Plus, the Boast team certainly is playful. Indeed, the catalogue photos suggest that while the green in question might be maple, it certainly has the same effect as another plant we know. From passing out during croquet to a melon eating hotbox car seat session, jump ahead to peep what appears to be one weekend epically under the influence — of the Royal Tenenbaums, at least. Wear responsibly.
