THIS Is Why You Should Get Married In The Desert

When it comes to unique outdoor wedding locations, it doesn't get much better than getting hitched under a starry desert sky in the middle of a gorgeous national park. Just ask Alison and Jay Carroll, who tied the knot at a three-day celebration in Joshua Tree.
Complete with a sound bath, taco-truck feast, and dinner on the oasis of Mara, the entire weekend sounds like a dream come true. The couple, who originally met in the Bay Area — Jay was a creative director at Levi’s and Alison was working as the marketing director at the California Olive Oil Council — selected the spot for its sentimental value.
"We’ve been coming out here for years to clear our heads," Alison tells us. "Our new business, Wonder Valley, was inspired by it and celebrates this part of the California desert. This area has come to feel like home, and we wanted to share it with our friends and family."
We’re obsessed with every little detail from the couple's night — from the no-seating arrangement tables to the Airstream-inspired bar, and of course, the bride’s stunning Daughters of Simone dress. Get ready to gawk at the pics by Nancy Neil — you’ve never seen a wedding quite like this before!
