9 Fun Things To Do This Weekend

volcom-3x4

December is turning out to be a full-on party, as these last few days
have been filled with awesome must-attend events — but they've got nothin’
on this ultimate list of weekend happenings! Whether you’re looking to
hit your holiday shopping out of the park, or just want to partake in
some awesome craft workshops, there won't be a dull moment in sight, when it comes to this weekend's agenda. See the full list below and don’t forget
to brag — err, check in — on Facebook!

Shaun’s Shades Launch Party

If you love Shaun's Shades as much as we do (and really, who doesn’t?)
then this is your chance to meet the man behind the retro-chic eyewear line that helps the visually impaired with every purchase.
At this totally rad launch party, we also get to learn more about the
brand, its ultimate mission, and what all the much-deserved fuss is
really all about.
When: Saturday, December 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Lux Eyewear, 1805 El Camino Real (between Park Blvd and Leland
Ave); 650-324-3937.

Get Your Party On With Convert and Volcom

If, like us, you worry about all the upcoming family-holiday snaps (hello,
mortifying family albums!), then this Saturday’s “Get Your Party Look
On” event has your name written all over it. With makeup tips from Benefit
Cosmetics and style advice from Elle.com’s Cheryl Locke, you’ll warm up the camera in no time. And if that isn’t enough, you’ll
have a chance to win the Volcom Raffle, while glasses of champagne endlessly refill themselves. Um, could this get any more fun? We don’t
think so.

When: Saturday, December 10, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Where: 1809B 4th Street, (between Virginia and Hearst streets); 510-649-9759.

Yellow Owl Workshop
Insanely expensive art got you down? Ditch the steep price tags and get
crafty. This Saturday, head on over to SFMOMA—where S.F.-based artist Christine Schmidt of cult-circuit fave Yellow Owl
Workshop
, will be teaching an ultra-fun printmaking demo. You'll learn
how to create your own designs on t-shirts, cards, and even — get
this! — murals. She’ll also be signing copies of her new book, Print
Workshop
, which is available for purchase at the Museum Store.

When: Saturday, December 10, at 2 p.m.

Where: SFMOMA Museum Store, 151 3rd Street (between Minna Street and
Masset Place); 415-357-4000.

Price: Free!

City Dolls Trunk Show

Why can’t all events combine amazing fashion with delish food, like
this Saturday’s City Dolls Trunk Show? We’re talkin’ local, vintage,
and even handmade numbers next to an assortment of pulled pork
sandwiches and apple cider, with a little somethin’ somethin’ added into
the mix (wink, wink). We can’t think of a better event to inspire us to show up hungry.
When: Saturday, December 10, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Where: Space Gallery, 1141 Polk Street (at Sutter Street); 415-377-3325.
