Where The Wild People Are: 8 Spots To Score A Celeb Sighting

Maybe it’s the perpetual sunshine, the potent mojitos, or the crazy nightlife. But there’s no denying it: Celebrities heart Miami — a lot. We’ve all seen the tabloid photos featuring the likes of Tom Cruise, Mischa Barton, and Beyoncé, taking in some sun. But you know what? Those "articles" rarely tell us where the beautiful people are actually spending their downtime. So, we decided to take matters into our own hands and track down the top Miami spots that double as celeb enclaves. That's right. We're hooking you up with all of your star-stalking needs. Just don't call us about any restraining orders.

1. Soho Beach House
Since its inception in 2010, this members-only club has become the most notable celebrity playground in the city. During this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach, you couldn’t walk the property without hobnobbing with Adrien Brody, Naomi Campbell, and Paris Hilton. But even on regular calendar days, you’re sure to find some A-lister poolside or at Cecconi’s.
4385 Collins Avenue; 786-507-7900.

2. Casa Tua
Casa Tua is one of those places that came out of the gate with a reputation for celebrity sightings, and no one is really sure why — kind of similar to The Ivy in Los Angeles. Whatever the magic behind the secret sauce, this highly coveted restaurant has waited on everyone from A-Rod and Kate Hudson to Eva Longoria.
1700 James Avenue; 305-673-1010.

3. Prime 112
If we sat here and dropped the name of every VIP guest who has ever dined at Prime 112, we’d be writing for a very long time. Elbow your way through the packed house on any night of the week and you could see anyone from Bill Clinton to Reggie Bush. Some may think it’s the steak that keeps people coming back, but we know it’s the fried Oreos.
112 Ocean Drive; 305-532-8112.

4.The Webster
This exquisitely curated boutique likes to keep its clientele hush-hush, but that’s not always possible. We do know that Kanye frequents the luxury emporium while in town — but not without his stylist, of course.
1220 Collins Avenue; 305-674-7899.

5. Miami Heat Games
The Heat, as a team, has enough star power of its own, which is why its courtside seats are always brimming with talent. Sean “P Diddy” Combs, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Marc Anthony, and Flo Rida have all been seen, sitting where the action is.
American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Boulevard; 786-777-1000.

6. Bal Harbour Shops
Since there aren’t too many options for high-end shopping in Miami Beach, celebs hit Bal Harbour Shops when they’re ready to throw down big cash (on clothes, not bottles). The outdoor mall has seen boldface names like Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Aniston, Patricia Field, and Cameron Diaz.

7. LIV
LIV at the Fontainebleau is basically the Mecca of all nightlife in Miami, so it’s no surprise that almost every story we hear about the hotspot involves a famous person. Like that time The Heat lost the playoffs and Lil Wayne — an avid fan — was spotted partying with the Mavericks at the nightclub. Yup, Lil Wayne, we’re still a little sore about it.
4441 Collins Avenue; 305-674-4680.

8. Lincoln Road
Some stars like to avoid crowds where they know they’ll be bullied into an autograph. While others… well, they walk down Lincoln Road with little makeup and sunglasses. We’re looking at you Jennifer Lopez and Queen Latifah.
Between Alton Road and Washington Avenue on 17 Street.
