Hershey's Is Taking Sweet Tooths On A Cross-Country Tour With These New Flavors

If the open road and Route 66 sound great in theory, but you'd rather not listen to the same tunes on Top 40 radio while you sample all the great eats that this great country has to offer, Hershey's is offering up a whole new way to get a taste of America's regional flavors. According to Delish, the candy conglomerate is celebrating summertime (peak road trip season) with the release of its Flavors of America collection, which includes new twists on everyone's favorite sweets — and each one gets a little inspiration from regional food favorites.
A total of six candy options are getting the seasonal makeover, so there really is something for every kind of sweet tooth. Those looking to get a taste of the Big Apple can pick up the New York Cherry Cheesecake Hershey's Bar, which is a mashup of the classic chocolate Hershey's bar with NYC's signature dessert.

If you feel like taking your taste buds down south and have a thing for peanut butter, you can opt for the Georgia Honey Roasted Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. These sweet treats infuse peach flavor into the tried-and-true candy, offering up a sweet twist the perfect combo of chocolate and peanut butter.
Representing the West Coast are California Strawberry Kit Kats, which celebrate SoCal's Strawberry Festival, an annual tradition where locals can gorge themselves on strawberry shortcake, funnel cakes, and get a photo op with a cowboy hat-wearing berry. The Kit Kat bar remix includes strawberry creme filling and crispy wafers inside a pink chocolate coating.
Key Lime Pie and Orange Cream Pop Twizzlers and Hawaii Coconut Almond Hershey's Kisses are on the list, too, but the most head-scratching addition may be the Texas BBQ Payday bar. Imagine peanuts, caramel, and tangy Texas barbecue sauce all mingling together like a country jamboree or Austin-based technology conference. All six flavors are available now from sea to shining sea, but they're all limited-edition releases. So stock up if you're feeling any particular flavor, because like summer, these candies won't last forever.
