Sorry, Ryan Adams: This Taylor Swift-Approved “Bad Blood” Cover Wins

Even Taylor Swift loves a good Taylor Swift cover. The singer gave an epic orchestral rendition of "Bad Blood" by Christopher Tin her official thumbs up, tweeting, "Getting pirate ship/ sword fight movie scene vibes from this orchestral version of Bad Blood and I'm happy about it." And honestly, we are too. It almost sounds medieval, like something you might hear on Game of Thrones.

Tin, a classical musician from Palo Alto, CA, wrote on YouTube that after hearing Swift play the 1989 track at the Los Angeles' Staples Center back in August (where, yes, he did get a chance to take a photo with her), he was inspired to go home and write this orchestral piece, which is filled with brass, strings, and booming drums. In just a few days, and with a little help from his assistant (and fellow Swifty) Nadia Wheaton, Tin posted the video of his re-creation asking anyone who liked the song to share it with their fellow Swift fans. But, he certainly couldn't have guessed that the singer herself would be one of those spreading the love. "I can't stop smiling," Tin wrote on his Facebook page after seeing Swift's tweet. "I've had a stupid grin on my face all evening!" While Ryan Adams' cover of "Bad Blood" has its merits, this one totally blows it away. Better luck next time, Ry. Listen to the track below.
