Beyoncé's Guide To L.A.

Beyoncé is a Texas girl, and her man Jay Z is New York, to the core. So, it only makes sense that they’d meet in the middle, well, "To the left, to the left" — and set up a home in a place that has an urban feel, but with way more space than Manhattan. Of course, we're talking about Los Angeles.

As we've previously reported, Bey and Jay are already setting up roots on the west coast, which is great news for us Angelenos. Bey spottings in SoCal? Count us in. But, just where is she hanging? In honor of her birthday today, we sought to find out. After all, she may be planning a victory lap around L.A. to celebrate the first day of 34, and we'd like to run into her.

Gracias Madre
Beyoncé’s been known to go for the healthy stuff when possible, so it’s no surprise that she and Jay are regular customers of this West Hollywood spot. If you’re on Melrose, cruise by for some delicious plant-based Mexican food. Perhaps you can get the 22-day-vegan nod of approval from Bey herself.

Alice + Olivia
If you can’t spot Beyoncé in public, you can at least be spotted looking like her. Or, maybe you can do both. She loves to pick up some threads at Alice + Olivia's boutique, and if you’re headed there yourself, you might have a Beverly Hills brush with Bey. Or, you’ll at least brush up against some clothes she’s (maybe) touched. Good enough, girl.

Milk Studios
Shhhh. Don’t tell the insiders of the fashion, art, and entertainment worlds that we told you about their mecca. This studio spot is a full-service photography joint that doubles as an event venue when need be, like when Beyoncé stopped by for pal Wes Lang’s art show.

Milk Studios, 855 North Cahuenga Boulevard (at Willoughby Avenue); 323-469-8900.

Café Gratitude
Ah, Café Gratitude — where every meal has its own personal positive message to go with it. Of course Beyoncé dines here. Do you think it’s part of the secret to her superpowers? In any case, if you find yourself on Larchmont — as you so often do, you aristocrat — stop by this resto and get zen with some #blessed grub. Namaste.

Clippers Games
Bey and Jay love a sporting event, especially a Clippers' game. Our tip to you: Get tickets for their next game against The Nets, Jay owns the NYC team, and he often shows up for games. But you already knew that, you super fan.

What have we learned so far? Beyoncé really loves vegetarian lunch spots. This double-dollar-sign vegan hotspot will have you going green in no time. When you’re feeling particularly meat-free, head here and hope that Beyoncé's in a vegan mood, too.

Every Single Festival In L.A.
Okay, we're kind of cheating with this one, but Bey loves a music festival even more than your FYF-loving girl gang. From Made in America Festival, to Coachella, she doesn't just go, she gets down — popping in and out of the front rows and dancing. Maybe that VIP wristband is worth it...

Sweet Lady Jane Café & Bakery
This spot is a fave for Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, according to insiders in the neighborhood. Check out their West Hollywood location for some delicious treats and a chance to spot the whole family: Even Tina Knowles has been known to join up for a girls' day brunch at this homey café.

Griffith Park
Griffith Park is fun for the whole family — specifically, Beyoncé, Blue, and her sister Solange. If you spot the girls hanging near the playground area, don’t even think about pulling out a camera: Solange will shut you down.

Beverly Wilshire Hotel
Ah, yes, the holy hotel grail of ritzy hotels. It was here that Beyoncé filmed the video for "7/11" and she still frequents the pool, so gather up your girls, have a sleepover, and pray for a special guest.
