Amal Clooney Gives Two Reasons to Always Match

Earlier this week, Lily Collins made a strong case for wearing a matched set with an adorable floral ensemble. But wait, Amal Clooney just upped the ante by doubling up on her matchy-matchiness in an impeccably polished and — dare we say — grown-up way.
While heading out of the London home she shares with her husband (some guy named George), the human rights lawyer looked every bit the sophisticated jet-setter in an asymmetrical rib knit tank and skirt set by Stella McCartney. The origami-accented combo also made for a comfy, cozy airplane outfit, as she was heading to Heathrow to catch a flight. To counter the pairing with an unexpected punked-out, menswear-inspired accent, Amal accessorized with chunky monk-strap creepers (also by Stella), instead of, say, stilettos or pointy flats. Her Les Petits Joueurs structured satchel with a Lego-emblazoned front flap brought in a touch of playfulness (and extra room for in-flight supplies). But Amal’s most convincing argument for matching? Her coordinated cream and brown carry-on luggage set by Bric's that basically screams cultured traveler. Now that's when you can tell someone's really made it.
