The Muppets Are Making A TV Comeback

Face it: There's no such thing as too much Miss Piggy. As such, we're pretty darn delighted with the news that The Muppets could be making a TV comeback. The Hollywood Reporter writes that The Big Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady and 3rd Rock from the Sun alum Bob Kushell a co-writing a script for a pilot presentation. If all goes well, ABC could greenlight a revival of a Muppets-themed variety show. The Muppet Show originally ran from 1976 to 1981, followed by ABC's Muppets Tonight in 1996. Though one could argue that Kermit, Fonzie, Animal, and co. never really went of style, the Muppets have been enjoying renewed fame and a younger generation of fans thanks to its Jason Segel-helmed 2008 film and last year's follow-up.  The revival isn't yet a done deal, with the pilot yet to be filmed. Still, there's no harm in blasting "The Rainbow Connection," throwing on your lucky feather boa, and prepping one of your favorite Swedish Chef recipes. Isn't that what Piggy would do?
