Suit Up! The Grammys Trend Actually Worth Trying

The Grammys red carpet is unlike any other. The thespian-centric awards shows draw their own breed of glitz and glam — voluminous gowns, elegant trains, Old Hollywood-inspired glamour — but, with so many weekends of pageantry, they can get a little stale. The music industry, however, has but one big blowout a year, so the honorees are not afraid to have fun with it.
The Grammys brought forth all sorts of rule-breaking — and we're not just talking about Madonna's matador-inspired, custom Givenchy haute couture number. This year, a few ladies gave up the gowns in favor of sleek (and much more comfortable) suits. Aside from Jenny Lewis and her rainbow ensemble, newcomers Charli XCX and Danielle Haim donned their finest trousers for the occasion. After all, for many of those in attendance, the Grammys are a work function, so they've got to dress accordingly. See how you can steal this red carpet breakout trend — and maybe even wear it to the office tomorrow — ahead.
