Long, long ago, before Stephen Colbert had his own show and
Steve Carell loved lamp and Jon Stewart became a serious film director, they
were all on a little show called The
Daily Show. Stewart used yesterday's #TBT to post a little snippet from a
Moment of Zen way back in 2001 when the dudes vamped shirtless while the dulcet
tones of jazz played in the background.
Side note: This was from a show on 10/11/01, which makes it
one month after 9/11. So, maybe Stewart was aiming for a little bit of
much-needed levity? Or, alluding to all the crazy, occasionally desperate sex
New Yorkers were having after witnessing such tragedy firsthand? Who's to say,
really? Except that we really needed this moment of sexy, hilarious zen. [Uproxx]
