It's finally time for our TV reunion with Saul Goodman, the
sleazy lawyer played by Bob Odenkirk in Breaking
Bad and star of his very own show, Better
Call Saul. The show has a two-episode premiere on Sunday, February 8, at 10
p.m. EST, and Monday, February 9, at 10 p.m. EST. Sure, you could try and watch
all five seasons of Breaking Bad to
get ready, but only if you've got a decent supply of Walter White's finest on
hand. If you want a quick refresher, here are six episodes of Breaking Bad to help you remember how
Saul came on the scene, and why you should really be calling him on Sunday
night.
Season 2, Episode 8: "Better Call Saul" — This is
the first time we meet Saul. Boy, those were more innocent days, weren't they?
Season 2, Episode 11: "Mandala" – Saul sets up an
unforgettable meeting for Jesse and Walt at Los Pollos Hermanos, to meet a
possible business partner that will rock their worlds. This is the first time
we meet Gus Frig (Giancarlo Esposito), and it's a doozy.
Season 3, Episode 2: "Caballo Sin Nombre" — This
is the episode where Saul gets Jesse's parents to lower the price on Jesse's
aunt's old house, with a little arm-twisting. Guess who the new owner is, bitch?
Season 3, Episode 6: "Sunset" — Hank is closing in
on the RV, so there's only one thing left to do: destroy the place
where Walt and Jesse made so many memories. And, bags of meth.
Season 3, Episode 11: "Abiquiu" — Saul and Skyler
finally meet, and she's none too impressed.
Season 5, Episode 1: "Live Free or Die" — This is
the unforgettable first episode of the last season. Saul has finally had enough
of Walt and all his shady mishegoss, but Walt isn't having it. "We're done
when I say we're done," he tells Saul, and we believe him. Walt is the one who knocks!
