What We’d Wear To The Met Gala

Brace yourselves — the fashion industry's most glamorous night is just days away. Designers, models, celebrities, and editors with blunt bobs and bangs will come together for the Costume Institute's Met Gala in their finest, often-one-of-a-kind gowns.
But, Miley's spiked hair and perfect punk look won't work this year. This time around, it’s all about "White Tie and Decorations," — in other words, elaborate ball gowns and waist coats. The refined focus is most likely a nod to this year’s honoree, the late couturier Charles James and his nothing-short-of-glamorous designs.
While we’ve spent weeks wondering what guests like Sarah Jessica Parker and Lupita Nyong'o will surprise us in, we’ve decided to turn our daydreams in another direction. What would we wear to the ball? We let our fantasies take full reign and rounded up the most regal ball gowns that could easily get us on the best dressed lists, no question. Behold, the 17 stunning frocks we’ll be begging our fairy-god-Leon-Talleys to send us off in.
