Versace Is The Most Googled Fashion Label — Thank Drake?

It's been quite a year for luxe fashion brand Versace. It tapped Lady Gaga as the face of its spring '14 campaign, teamed up with M.I.A. for a rad collaboration, was featured in a Lifetime movie, and even took over airwaves via summer's unstoppable Drake and Migos hit. And, not surprisingly, it was also the Italian fashion house that took the prize for being the most searched-for high-fashion label of the year, according to Google's Zeitgeist 2013 report. In all, the brand topped Michael Kors, Gucci, and Kate Spade, with Givenchy, Prabal Gurung, and Rachel Zoe rounding out the top 10.
However, while all the press this year surrounding Versace may have helped it climb those ranks, when it comes to the most searched apparel brands and retailers, it was actually Kohl's that blew away the competition. J.C. Penney, Nordstrom, and Forever 21 came in behind, while similar mega-stores like Walmart and Target didn't even make the list. The Zeitgeist roundup also included pop-culture trends, top stocks, and even the most searched-for appetizer. (It's tomato mozzarella, by the way.) Now, excuse us while we put the holiday jams on pause and blast a little "Versace," "Versace," "Versace." (WWD)
