Diet Companies Are Scrambling For Rebel Wilson’s Affections

It's no secret that a lot of stars make big money on the side from sponsored projects, ad campaigns, and the like. Sure, blockbuster movies pull in plenty of cash, but if a brand is offering similarly eye-popping amounts for just a couple of commercials, why not? That seems to be the business-savvy mentality behind the latest Rebel Wilson rumor. Radar Online reports that Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers are currently fighting tooth and nail to get the Super Fun Night star on board for a campaign.
Before you balk and exclaim that she doesn't need to lose weight and everyone should leave her alone, consider this quote from an unnamed source: “Rebel would be doing this strictly for the money. She’s built a comic persona out of being heavy and nobody in her world or at ABC is pressuring her to lose weight. It would only be for the cash and the exposure.” Wilson previously worked with Jenny Craig in Australia, writing about her experience with regular blog posts and eventually dropping some 30 lbs.
It doesn't really seem like Rebel's thing, but then again, who knows? Maybe she could turn those commercials into something hilarious. (Radar Online)
