Get Your Strut On This Thursday At Bloomingdale’s

If you have yet to check out the recently revamped shoe department at Bloomingdale's (where have you been?), you'll want to make it a point to stop by this Thursday, May 2 — but you may want to practice walking in your highest heels first.

Starting at 6 p.m., shoppers will be invited to strut their stuff on the catwalk wearing spring’s hottest stems from designers such as B Brian Atwood, Chloé, Dior, and Giuseppe Zanotti. A panel of, um, well-heeled judges from Genuine Entertainment Chicago, Factor Model Management, and Chi City Fashion will choose the ultimate winner — who will get to keep the shoes she walked (or teetered) in. A second place winner will be awarded a Bloomie's gift card, and a third will receive a gift basket full of makeup goodies.

If you're inspired by what you see on the runway, you can feel good knowing that 10% of tracked sales made during the event will benefit Heartland Alliance, Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care. We say, Mama needs a new pair of shoes.
