Everyone knows David Bowie is the definition of iconic. Even if '90s babies don't necessarily understand why, we all know him as a badass, Lady Gaga's source of inspiration, and a still-cool Halloween costume. With the recent release of his new album The Next Day, a new
star Swinton studded music video, and now a fresh T-shirt collaboration, we're finally getting some serious DB time after his 10 year hiatus.
Of course one of our favorite things about his new social streak happens to be sartorial: David Bowie and Paul Smith — longtime friends and style collaborators — have paired up on the official The Next Day tee. The artwork, designed by Jonathan Barnbrook, references Bowie's famed Heroes album cover photo, and the message is clear: It's not over yet for Ziggy Stardust. Available for both men or women, we pretty much guarantee we'll be living in this organic cotton, graphic number all summer long, especially with the so-subtle "Paul Smith for David Bowie" signature at the bottom right corner of the frame. Indeed, we totally see it as an investment — this will be the crown jewel in your future child's vintage tee collection. Cop the top now...if not for you, then for future generations.
