They're thick, they're clunky, and they're not UGGs. In fact, they're from one of the most game-changing brands we've got around today, whose direction we look to when seeking out new trends — Isabel Marant. Moving on from the now-ubiquitous sneaker wedge, Marant is trying out other styles, including this suede ankle boot with a hidden heel — the Basley.
With a boxy shape (due to the hidden wedge), sloped round heel, and tan rubber sole, the bootie looks a whole lot like an ankle-height UGG boot. But we have to admit that the perforated thin suede and the pinking make them quite a bit more palatable (and yes, we admit we might be swayed by the brand name).

Like most new trends in footwear (both questionable and outright awesome), celebrities are the first to hop on the bandwagon, except this time it's not party-type celebs like Nicole Richie and Kate Moss wearing these comfy Marant boots with Starbucks Cups and pouts, it's more low-key ladies like Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Garner who've been spotted wearing theirs with skinny jeans, blanket cardigans, and un-done hair.
