Whether you’re a devoted and proud fan of Fifty Shades of Grey or not, you can't deny the power of the smutt novel. From a rumored movie that may include Ryan Gosling (!) to a Fifty Shades-inspired hotel, it’s undeniably the most buzzed (and buzzed...and buzzed) about book of 2012. Now, the frenzy has carried over into ludicrous territory AKA fashion, with a Fifty Shades of Grey menswear collection from UK tailors, Norton & Townsend.
A mere 50 shades might have worked for the novel, but this natty range for guys is made up of 200 shades of gray suits, ranging from “Glamorous Grey” to “Grown-Up Grey.” If Fifty Shades is the hot tome of the year, then Christian Grey, the suave billionaire sadist and star of the seires, is certainly the biggest literary swoon. While Christian himself might be fictional, the ladies who love him are very much real, and Norton & Townsend is betting they’ll be fans of their favorite real-life men going Grey...at least sartorially. Okay, fess up (because we're honestly really curious): Would you dress your boyfriend to resemble Christian Grey or would you rather turn down the shades on all this mania? (Daily Mail)
