This Woman Destroyed Her Fenty Beauty Highlighter & Rihanna Liked It

We never imagined 2017 would turn into the year of destroying makeup. But everywhere you look, there are videos of people chopping up expensive lipsticks and smashing every kind of beauty product on YouTube. And now, it looks like Fenty Beauty is getting the knife.
Earlier this week, Instagram user Nickole Hoang posted a Fenty makeup tutorial. But unlike other tutorials featuring the brand, this one got a bit destructive. In the clip, you can watch as Hoang takes a fork to the highlighter in “Trophy Wife.” Admittedly, it’s almost painful to watch her destroy such a beautiful product, but as soon as she mixes the loose pigment with a little Farsali Rose Elixir, it all makes sense. Turns out, the highlighter in liquid form looks even more stunning.

🚨Video Alert! 🚨 ✨HIGHLIGHT GAME STRONG✨ FOLLOW @nickole_hoang for more This highlight technique really proves that @fentybeauty Trophy Wife ✨is quality like no other. Hopefully through my experiment you can see how this highlighter glistens like gold sand. Heating your cream contour up is actually a great way to get a smoother application. Especially when the weather gets colder, super fast and effective. I just happened to light 💥mine up. If you are not comfortable with that then regular rubbing with your hands will work just fine.🤗 Check out my latest Youtube 🎥video Link in Bio ____________________________________________________ Products Mentioned: @fentybeauty - Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer @fentybeauty - Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation 140 @fentybeauty -Match Stix Trio - Medium 200 - Bamboo, Mocha, Trippin @fentybeauty - Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Trophy Wife @fentybeauty - Cheek-Hugging Highlight Brush 120 @hudabeauty - Liquid Matte Silver Fox @hudabeauty - Farah lashes @farsalicare - Rose Gold Elixir • • • • • • • • • • • • #KILLAWATT #fentyxpuma #MEANMONEY/#HUSTLABABY#GLOSSBOMB #TROPHYWIFE #rihgram #PROFILTER#FENTYFACE #INSTANTRETOUCHPRIMER #MATCHSTIX #makeupjunkie#FENTYBEAUTYXHN @badgirlriri #maryhadalittleglam #makegirlz #wakeupandmakeup#hypnaughtymakeup #hudabeauty #brian_champagne #glamvids#makeuptutorialsx0x #allmodernmakeup#fakeupfix #hairmakeupdiary#makeupforbarbies #make4glam#makeuptutorial #1minutemakeupxmakeuptutsx #fentybeauty @alyakattan @monakattan @hudabeauty @shophudabeauty @dollhousedubai @priscillaono #priscillaono

Later in the video, Hoang takes a lighter and melts the tip of a Fenty contour stick. “Heating your cream contour up is actually a great way to get a smoother application. Especially when the weather gets colder, super fast and effective,” she wrote in the caption.
Even better than the tutorial is the fact that Rihanna herself liked it — as in, actually "liked" it on Instagram, and left three kiss emojis in the comments. “I am SHOOK,” Hoang wrote in response. “@badgalriri liked and commented on my post … She saw me showing the world how beautiful her Trophy Wife highlight is.”
This one might be hard to watch, but destroying your makeup doesn't have to be for nothing — especially when it comes to getting a radiant highlight.
