For Guys, By Guys: Two Style Bloggers' Ultimate Gift List

Sure, we can recite our own wish lists backward and forward, but gifting our guys can throw our shopping instincts for a bit of a loop. This year, we're enlisting the help of two local style bloggers to hold our hands through the challenge that is purchasing presents for all the men in our lives. We turned to Jeff Kieslich and Seth Putnam, two dashing young scribes from The Midwestyle, who shared their holiday wants with us, while shedding some light on why each item will work for the hard-to-shop-for half of your gifting to-do list. Don't you wish guys would just make it easy and tell you what they want? Well, ours did.

Patagonia Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Top, $99, available at REI.

"Completely practical and utterly warm. Under $100 and you'll probably end up snatching this from the guy anyway. Bonus points for an obnoxious color/pattern."

Diptyque Corriandre Candle, $60, available at Barneys New York.

"Remember that line in Anchorman where Ron Burgundy says, 'I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.' Okay, well, this is that smell. Importance and mahogany in a bottle."

Woody iPhone Hard Case, $40, available at Jack Spade.

"It's sleek, smooth, and keeps your goods protected. This description could also apply to the perfect pair of underwear. I would totally take both."

Watch The Throne Tour Flag T-Shirt, $40, available at RSVP Gallery.

"If you didn't get a chance to snag tickets to see 'Ye & Hova perform in Chicago, then we're in the same boat. I've watched enough bootlegged YouTube concert footage to merit a concert shirt though."

A vintage edition of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, $35, available at Tias.

"Ostensibly a children's book about forest animals, it's more about humanity and its emotions: wonder, fright, wistfulness and wanderlust. Best read aloud, to a partner, while snuggled up in that blanket."

Tie by Hill-side, $85, available at Hill-side.

"Because men should be dressing up, not down, and we've let these accents slide. Wear them often."
