The Melt Launches Breakfast Menu, Gives Away Free Egg-In-A-Hole Sammies!

Egg-In-A-Hole Melt
If our recent Best Donuts In The Bay roundup is any indication, breakfast is a pretty big deal to the editors of Refinery29 San Francisco. Which is why we were thrilled to learn that local tech-savvy grilled-cheese chain The Melt (started by the same guy who founded Flip camera) is now serving a delectable menu of morning eats, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. every day, starting this week.
Luckily, we got to preview a large portion of the new morning-grub lineup and let us just say that it is utterly tasty and cheap — a winning combo in our book. The new offerings include a selection of four sweet and savory breakfast sandwiches (the Cinnamon Raisin with Lemon Cream Cheese Melt and the Egg-in-a-Hole Melt are our faves), classic Kettle-Cooked Steel-Cut Oatmeal, and a Non-Fat Greek-Yogurt Parfait. All of which can be topped off with one's choice of Peet's coffee or O.J. for a super-solid $6 meal (Starbucks, watch out!).
Want to preview the menu before it officially launches on Tuesday, June 5? Head to any of The Melt's three Bay Area locations today before 10:30 a.m. and score a free egg sandwich, crafted with local ingredients, by using the code Egg-In-A-Hole when you order your meal online or on your smartphone. Or, if you want to beat the throngs of S.F.'ers clamoring for free food, just pony up the $6 and try the menu on your own dime later this week. Trust, you won't be disappointed.
