Win On-The-Job Experience At Your Dream Company

The journey to a dream job can be an arduous one — and there are no guarantees that it'll be a linear path. One way to get ahead is to heed the advice of those that have been there before you. But an even better way to propel yourself to the top is to gain on-the-job experience and learn firsthand what it takes to succeed. That’s why we’ve partnered with Planned Parenthood to extend its mission of educating and empowering communities. We’re giving seven lucky winners a chance to win dream job experiences at companies like Atlantic Records, Rent the Runway, IDEO, and more.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund is also getting in on the action, offering you a 360-degree experience at its three-day Power of Pink conference in Detroit this summer. There, you’ll have VIP access to the largest gathering of national organizers. In addition, you’ll shadow executives and national staff from all over the country and sit down for a power lunch with executive vice president Dawn Laguens.

When we asked Laguens about strategies that helped her achieve success, she underscored the importance of mentors and learning from others' experiences. She feels indebted to a group of social justice and political leaders in New Orleans: “[They] helped me understand the world around me, challenges people face, and the intersectionality of issues that affect our day-to-day lives,” she says. Her other great piece of advice? “Don’t take yourself too seriously.”

To start surrounding yourself with prospective mentors, donate a minimum of $10 to Planned Parenthood to enter to win.

Allied Integrated Marketing is giving away a hands-on experience with its Allied Moxy division — which has clients like Fox, Warner Bros., Amazon, and Spotify — to give you the inside scoop on entertainment marketing. You’ll gain valuable exposure to every aspect of the industry: publicity, marketing, promotions, advertising, and social media. If you’ve got moxie, this is a great opportunity to meet the team and make great connections.

Marcus Best, the VP of Allied Moxy, was inspired to explore a career in the arts and entertainment after he was afforded the opportunity to work for the National Endowment for the Arts in D.C. He says it was that job that highlighted “the importance of how art and entertainment touch everyone and bridge cultures and communities.”

Now his team is paying it forward to give you the chance to discover your passion. Donate a minimum of $10 to Planned Parenthood to enter to win.

This one's for the music fans among us. Atlantic Records, home to some of the biggest names in the industry, is inviting you to go behind the scenes. You’ll join Camille Hackney, EVP of brand partnerships and commercial licensing, for a special private tour of the iconic Atlantic Records offices in New York City. Get ready to explore its professional recording studio, attend a special acoustic artist showcase, and shadow Hackney for an afternoon to learn about her extensive experience working with artists you know and love. If you’re looking to break into the business side of the music biz, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Not only will Hackney show you the ropes, but she also has some great advice on how to get ahead. To her, working hard at every level is what informs your reputation and establishes your work ethic. She recommends building your network, speaking up in meetings, and relaying bad news expeditiously. But most importantly, treat people the same whether they are your boss or your subordinate.

Now, it’s your chance to show you’ve got what it takes. To enter to win, donate a minimum of $10 to Planned Parenthood.

Revolutionary fashion rental company Rent the Runway is here for you, too. One winner will get the chance to fly to NYC for a stay at the W New York - Downtown to be right in the middle of all the city has to offer. You’ll get an in-depth look at the entire operation, from the brand's 250,000-square-foot “Dream Closet” warehouse and distribution facility in New Jersey (which houses the world's largest single dry cleaner) to its flagship store and headquarters in Manhattan. You’ll round out the afternoon with a lunch hosted by a group of RTR employees from all different teams.

Rent the Runway never would have gotten off the ground if Jenn Hyman, CEO, wasn’t afraid to fail. “I've always had the mindset that failure, however uncomfortable, is just the first step towards success,” she says. For her, learning from obstacles and knowing you'll inevitably encounter naysayers is the best way to accomplish something new and bold.

If you’re looking for your chance to find success, here it is. Donate a minimum of $10 to Planned Parenthood to enter to win now.
