Truth be told, good vintage is becoming harder and harder to find. I would know since I'm constantly scouring eBay, thrift-stores, and my favorite vintage haunts. So, when news came out about a new e-commerce site, Atelier-Mayer devoted to quality vintage, we were intrigued. Upon first glance, you can tell this is no mere eBay shop. Images are big and glossy and offer the feel of paging through an old '70s issue of Vogue. From swimwear, cocktail dresses, and jewelry, all the big names are in the house—YSL, Chanel, Dior. Not surprising, the price-tags are equally hefty. Do we think a Christian Dior necklace from the '70s is worth upwards of $700? Not really. But the added sections on Icons and How to Shop Vintage add to the experience, making this feel a little more luxurious than your average e-commerce.
