An All-Weather Jacket That’s Actually Awesome

Friends, the end is near: On March 20, it will officially be spring. We've waited patiently for the snow to melt — and for us to wake up in the morning without sobbing about the weather report. We're already feeling the temperature (and, consequently, our hearts) warm up a bit. But, before we break out our summery sandals, we'll need to pull on our rain boots and trudge through some puddles, narrowly avoiding soaked hemlines. This year, Whistles is giving us a reason to actually look forward to April showers.

The British fashion brand is teaming up with Swedish raincoat specialists Stutterheim, lending the Whistles touch to the Scandinavian brand's classic Stockholm jacket. Translation: Your colorblock game just got ultra-waterproof. Just how waterproof, you ask? These jackets are "handmade using thick, rubberized cotton and finished with
double-welded seams," according to a press release. If it's good enough for the Swedes and the Brits, it's good enough for your morning commute. The unisex coats retail for $450 a pop, and are available today at Whistles
