Umami Burger Is Officially Coming To S.F.

Much-adored L.A.-based burger chain Umami Burger has officially signed a lease on its first-ever San Francisco location, in the former Jovino/Joe’s American space on Union Street (at Fillmore). According to Eater SF, Umami ain’t stopping there. Apparently, the owners are also looking into spaces in the Mission and Oakland. The first spot on Union, which will share a block with the always-overflowing resto The Brixton, will open around September or October. This might be reason enough for Marina-haters to venture to the ‘hood, no?
