Team Veerasway’s Charitable Journey Crosses Mountains For A Cause

An auto-rickshaw is a tiny vehicle with three wheels and a lawnmower engine. This is news to us, too.
Team Veerasway
is a group of local philanthropists who have made it their mission to trek via auto-rickshaw 2,400 miles across the Himalayas. This is not us being cute, we're talking about the actual Himalayas. The journey will raise money and awareness for Apna Ghar, a women's shelter in Chicago. Apna Ghar provides a safe place for women and their families when assistance is needed to protect against domestic violence. Team Veerasway takes off this fall, but on Friday, April 1, you can help send them on their way at a fundraiser event at Matthew Lew Galleries. Get your tickets here to support the great cause and monumental rickshaw ride.

Matthew Lew Galleries, 415 North Sangamon Street (at Hubbard Street).
