If you have dinner plans tonight, cancel them. If you're about to bite into a satisfying sandwich, drop it. We don't like to give orders, but we'd hate to have you miss out on a tasty feast of epic proportions. The fourth annual Taste of the Gold Coast (presented by the fabulous party gals Cece and Melinda) takes place tonight at the Sofitel Chicago. More than 15 restaurants (think Bar Toma, Fred's, Morton's, Carmine's) will be doling out samples of their signature dishes and, of course, libations will be flowing, too.
Tickets are $120 for general admission and can be purchased at The Taste of the Gold Coast website. If you are willing to spend a little more coin, for $250 you can hobnob with the chefs, be entered in a luxury raffle, and gain access to a VIP seating area. Cocktail attire required. This is the Gold Coast, after all.
Where: Sofitel Chicago, 20 East Chestnut Street, (between State and Wabash Streets), 312-324-4000.
When: August 16, from 6 to 9 p.m.
