Steven Alan Opens On Fillmore Street, Features Bay Area Designers

After one of our spies peeped a papered-over window on Fillmore Street last week, we knew the opening of Steven Alan's second S.F. shop wasn't far behind. And we were right! Today, the store at 1919 Fillmore (between Pine and Bush) makes its official debut in the Pac Heights 'hood.
The 1,750-square-foot space is the largest Steven Alan venue on the West Coast and will be showcasing two of our fave Bay-based designers, Micaela Greg and Melissa Joy Manning, alongside Steven Alan goods and garb from indie brands like Acne, No. 6, Wings & Horns, and Claire Vivier.

The new shop, designed by NYC-based architect Taryn Christoff of Christoff:Finio Architecture, is the twelfth for the East Coast designer, who already has six stores in NYC, one in East Hampton, and three in L.A. WWD reports that Alan's next retail venture will be a home-goods store, which will be assembled in one of his pre-existing New York shops.
