Son of a Gun: JF & Son’s S/S 09 Lookbook

We hope you like sequins&mdsah;and skin. The spring/summer '09 collection from Gen Art darlings JF & Son featured plenty of each, showcasing sheer, torso-exposing panels flanked by sparkles. Shockingly, it's not as, "beauty pageant castoff," as you might imagine, thanks to an understated palette of black, alabaster, gray, and an icy blue and the design duo's uncanny talent for imbuing their creations with a certain demure softness. Of course, our reliance on pesky things like bras will rule out those transparencies, but we do have our hearts set on that short-sleeved dress with the gray and white pixelated print. The glute-skimming cut is body-conscious, without being, you know, body-conscious.
