Sizzling Street Style and Other Stylish Tidbits From Our Weekend in Buenos Aires

My expectations of Buenos Aires went above and beyond this past week. Literally! When I travelled, I flew LAN's premium business class, when I went in search of street style, I found a supermodel, and when I got change back from a taxi driver, I got counterfeit bills—but hey, what's a trip without some extra spice (and the pesos exchange rate was making my wallet happy enough, anyhow!)? From clothes to food to furniture and art, our whirlwind trip through Buenos Aires offered loads of eye candy…how sweet it is!

Above, left: My first stop in the city was the Malba museum where I spotted these cool chair and bench pieces. Above, right: Also shot Amparo, an art dealer with breezy, chic style. Her round, tortoise-shell glasses? Want. Need. Must have.

Above, left:Amparo tipped me off to the P.H. exhibit at artist Emiliano Miliyo's home for more great style. This woman I shot was pregnant and amazing-looking in a bright, printed maxi dress and faded denim vest. Above, right: Traditional (and ultra-tasty) pastries.

Above, left: I was so surprised to catch Julia Stegner antiquing at San Telmo—she looked fantastic with her brown Miu Miu bag, brown belt, and faded boyfriend jeans. Above, right: You can find just about anything at the San Telmo fair, ranging from supermodels to old Argentine men with parrots on their shoulders.

Above, left: Let me just translate the sign next to these undies for you: "For your nights of lust and pleasure." Yowza! Above, right: Scrumptious strawberries and funny vintage Tango mags at the San Telmo antiques fair.

Above, left: Black party dress shopping at Juan Perez… doesn't the ruffled dress on the left look like Jane of Sea of Shoes, and the crushed velvet on the right look like Fashion Toast's Rumi? Above, right: After-hours party at some young artist's house. Her green monochrome with red accents is owning it.
