Shopping For A Cause: The Wood Family Foundation Does It Right at Intermix

We may not be the most sports savvy, but when it comes to fashionable sport charities, game on. Chicago Cubs' pitcher Kerry Wood and his wife Sarah are hosting a shopping event this Thursday to raise funds and awareness for childrens' charities around the Windy City, specifically The Wood Family Foundation (WFF), the organization they debuted in June. What better way to get the word out than hosting an evening of cocktails, food, and fashion, with 10% of the proceeds going straight to the foundation. Plus, the shopping fundraiser is being hosted at INTERMIX, which means you'll be earning some karma points while taking home the newest collections from your favorite designers.
When: Thursday, November 10, 6 p.m to 8 p.m.
Where: INTERMIX, 841 West Armitage Avenue (at North Dayton Street); 773-404-8766.
