Shop What All The Fashion Girls Are About To Be Wearing

We have a love-hate relationship with our favorite designers during New York Fashion Week. On one hand, they're responsible for helping us look our best — without their clothes, we'd be nothing (on the outside, anyway). On the other hand, these designers kind of screw with us, too — making us wait about six months to purchase the items we see on the runway. We know it's our job to preview those trends, but sometimes, we can't help but want to run onto the catwalk and scoop up that cool Alex Wang top or beyond-major pair of Opening Ceremony boots.  While we can't quite take our fashion impatience that far (nor, for that matter, can we speed up time), it's actually easy to adopt those fall '15 trends now — provided we shop smartly. Below, we're sharing our favorite moments from next season, along with similar products to jump-start your wardrobe. Don't forget to keep checking back daily as we add more need-now looks.

The Show: Marc By Marc Jacobs
The Trend: Fanny Packs
Your eight-year-old self at Disney World in the '90s would be so proud. The fanny pack you loved back then is back — and cooler than ever, with smart details and quirky accents. Who needs backpacks? This is the new hands-free carrier.
The Show: Rodarte
The Trend: Fur-Trim Coats
Fur (whether that's real or faux) isn't going ANYWHERE. Go for a complete furry coat, or find a style that has a just touch of it on the collar to get that same glam silhouette without the full-on teddy-bear vibe.

The Trend: Gowns Over Pants
For those pants-loving ladies that can't imagine slipping into a gown, but have an event where you kind of have to, this one's for you. The best of both worlds.

The Show: J.Crew
The Trend: Fringe Skirts
Carrying over from spring, fringe is swinging its way into fall — only this time, the trim is all glammed up in shiny metallics and pretty pastels.

The Trend:
Slips Over Trousers

Underwear as outerwear gets a
whole new meaning at rag & bone, with lacy slips layered over crisp trousers. This might not be PC for the office, but it certainly works as an alternative
going-out look.

The Show: Karen Walker

The Trend: Graphic Mid-Thigh
Dresses
Indulging in the ‘70s vibe that’s
everywhere these days, Karen Walker showcased the grooviest mid-thigh frocks — perfect for
your next party. Add knee-high boots and you’ve got your Saturday-night fever on lock.

The Show: Derek Lam

The Trend: Flowy Flares

Don’t worry, no need to pack away your disco shoes quite
yet. The ‘70s aren’t going anywhere, as proven by Derek Lam’s billowy
bell-bottoms in the warmest autumnal hue.

The Show: Prabal Gurung

The Trend: High Slits

Prabal’s lineup this season is a bit mixed up: On top, it’s full on winter
with luxe fur. Down below? It feels like spring with high-slit dresses and skirts. But, the end result reads full-on glam. While the slit trend won’t necessarily work (sans super-long duster coat) come next December, it’s
ideal to test out for that upcoming wedding you're attending in a few months.

The Show: Suno

The Trend: Wallpaper-Floral Coats

Leave it to Suno to introduce another floral pattern we
can’t wait to wear. Rather than a bright, technicolor style, this
season’s print is slightly darker and a bit more mysterious — still a welcome
update to the plain overcoats we see every fall.

The Show: Tibi
The Trend: Cozy Culottes
The #lazygirl aesthetic is still reigning supreme for fall. This time, flowy culottes are getting even cozier in bouclé styles that are as soft as ever.

The Show: Tome

The Trend: Vinyl Skirts

Plastic? Not just reserved for your traditional
rain jacket anymore. Try the shiny material on every  silhouette for fall,
but especially as a way to toughen up feminine skirts.

The Trend: Kooky Bags
Your favorite little creatures are creeping up again this
season on bags, shoes, and everything in between.

The Show: BCBG
The Trend:  Striped Turtlenecks
Those of you who enjoy hiding from the world (or at least forgoing a ski mask in chilly weather): You're in luck. Our favorite sweater choice this winter (the higher the neck, the better!) is still going strong for fall '15 — but in a cool, graphic update.

The Show: Rachel Comey
The Trend: Wooden Platforms
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck? Enough to make these sick shoes, obviously. Try 'em this spring in their sandals incarnation, too.  For all things Fashion Week around the world — including street style snaps, designer news, and the trends you'd actually wear, head over to Refinery29's Fashion Month hub.
