This Tuesday and Wednesday, come up with something very clever to tell your boss, because you're going to need a little time off. The fifth annual Chicago Sidewalk Sale is a huge, all-Chicago sale featuring local designers and independent local boutiques. Around 40 sale participants will be showing off clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. starting at 9 a.m., and if you make it there around noon, catch a summer-inspired runway show, too. Wondering who you'll bump into? How about local faves like Anna Hovet, BucketFeet, Brynn Capella, Objets d'Envy, Michelle Tan, and more. It sounds to us like this is totally worth a workday field trip.
