Ever since Saks Fifth Avenue opened its 10022 SHOE boutique in Chicago last September, we've had a new source of inspiration to start up that rainy-day fund again. The name comes from the New York zip code that is home to the first shop — but our Windy City version is just as fashionable, if we do say so ourselves. The 3,300-square-foot paradise is home to some of the most covetable collections from designers like Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, and Chicago guy Brian Atwood. It's like a museum of shoes, seriously.
If you've never been through this marble- and chandelier-clad palace of pumps, start your weekend with a stop to Saks to celebrate the one-year anniversary of this gorgeous department on Friday, September 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. Shop new arrivals for fall, get a complimentary makeup application (perf for going out afterward), sip champagne, and enter to win a pair of incredible shoes.
