Happy Rosh Hashanah...There's A Food Truck For That!

Old World Food Truck
Happy Rosh Hashanah, folks! If you haven't figured out where to dine to celebrate, the fine people at La Victoria Bakery in the Mission have you covered with a special one-night-only Old World Food Truck feast. Head over to 24th and Alabama to fill up on three courses of traditional Jewish faves, including gefilte fish served with carrots and sweet-beet horseradish, beef kreplach in broth with seasonal vegetables and dill, roasted chicken with Sephardic spices, dates, and almonds, potato latkes with house-made applesauce, sauteed greens with squash and leeks, and a spiced-honey cake with brown butter fig compote, mint, and apples to top it all off. If you can come up with a tastier New Year's meal than that, be our guest.
When: Wednesday, September 28, 7:30 p.m.
Where: La Victoria Bakery and Kitchen, 2937 24th Street (at Alabama Street); 415-642-7120.
Price: $35 at the door.
