Meet You All the Way: Roseanna Crafts Clothes for Swimming, Snuggling & Seducing

Let's face it—when it comes to effortless style, French girls really know what they're doing. So, it comes as no surprise to discover that the detailed yet "improvised" designs of our latest label obsession, Roseanna, were dreamed up by two French women. Four seasons in co-designers Anne-Fleur and Roxane Thiery have established themselves as specialists in going with the flow, seamlessly shifting from spring and summer's beachwear to knickers and knits come autumn. Marking a sharp departure from the Roseanna Liberty-print rompers and pumpkin-hued bandeau bikinis that we're wearing right now, the duo's autumn/winter '09 lookbook reveals a homme-influenced collection that's more sitting-in-front-of-the-fireplace-at-the-lodge than swimming-in-the-Med. Navy wool capes, boyish checked blazers and jumpsuits, intricately pleated leather minis, rich forest-green cashmere leggings and tops, and a chunky hand-knit grandpa cardigan promise some stylish chilly days in our future, with viscose-detailed and check-print bra and panty sets for those steamy nights under the duvet. Now all we need is Brenda Walsh's fake French accent and it's all systems go!
