It's Monday, which means we're lamenting the end of another all-too-short weekend. The upside? Nothing gets us through the next five days quite like making fabulous plans for Saturday and Sunday. On the agenda for the coming weekend: the Old Town Boutique District's annual Scavenger Hunt, which involves popping into some of our favorite Alexandria boutiques for a chance to win big prizes.
You'll have three days to visit all 35 participating stores, and the goal is to get a stamp on your "passport" at each one. To get a stamp, all you have to do is visit the shop — you don't even have to buy anything (whew!).

Once you've got a completed passport, you'll score a swag bag with goodies from local businesses as well as an entry for the drawing. (And, if you pre-register online, you'll get an extra entry.) The prizes? One of 35 $100 gift cards or a grand prize of a $3,500 shopping spree. Not a bad pay day for an afternoon of boutique-hopping, right?
When: Friday, September 21, through Sunday, September 23. Hours vary by store.
