State Dinner Style: Who Had The Best Dress?

state-dinnerslide
At last night's White House State Dinner, Michelle Obama wore a drop-dead-gorgeous deep teal Marchesa gown with a gorg, layered statement necklace from Tom Binns, while the Prime Minister's wife, Samantha Cameron, stepped out in a Jane Birkin-inspired floral-and-paisley belted dress from London designer Alessandra Rich. We're fervent fans of both looks for very different reasons — the First Lady looked impeccably elegant, but not the least bit boring or staid; her British guest took a risk with a wild pattern and unexpected silhouette, which feels appropriate, considering her role as ambassador to the British Fashion Council.
Now it's your turn: Which look would you choose for an event like this? A show-stopping gown, or something a little quirky, that shows your personality? (Mrs. O)
