We Tested 2011’s Most Highly Anticipated Beauty Product

This weekend at Art Basel, our skin suffered quite the shock as the weather transitioned from frigid to fair. Add in the plane trip's low oxygen levels, a couple too many vodka sodas, and some strong sun and wind, and, let's face it, our epidermis had seen better days. Enter in Spa de la Mer, a "pop-up" destination spa open only for Art Basel Miami Beach. The experience, set in a private residence with a killer view of the Florida waves, served as a one-of-a-kind preview of La Mer's latest product: The Radiant Serum. We got a specially designed facial by La Mer estheticians from the Urban Retreat Spa in Harrods, with diamond powder to refine and soften, illuminate and regenerate. Combined with a massage and custom acupressure techniques, we weren't surprised to hear one beauty junkie exhale, "I literally felt like I had transcended the earth." Bien sur, our skin was left supple, uber-moisturized, and young, young, young! While we can't get another fix for all our holiday parties quite yet, the secret ingredients will be on the market come February '11, when La Mer officially launches this potent potion. Dubbed "a miracle reborn," this treatment embeds active seaborne extracts in positive and negatively charged water clusters to maximize delivery of their radiance boosting powers into the cellular layers of the skin's surface. In other words, you'll look magnificent.

Available February 2011, $250, at Bergdorf Goodman; 754 5th Avenue (at 58th Street); 212-753-7300.
