Illionaire’s ’80s-Inspired, Psychedelic Acid Trip of a Fall Collection

The '80s has had no shortage of exploitation by current fashion trends (what, is the new millennium not inspiring enough for designers?), but leave it to yet another Aussie designer to make a look book as vision-inducing as the psychedelics they took in that decade. Illionaire's fall '09 lookbook features pieces we can imagine wearing to the sort of party that starts at midnight and goes 'til dawn in an abandoned warehouse somewhere—like ultra-short minidresses, sexy leather shorts, multicolored dresses, and a rich blue frock both tight and flowy (betcha didn't think that was possible, did you?). We're also digging the John Lennon-esque glasses and richly lacquered lips. True, it's not sold in the States, but if you happen upon a store that carries the brand in your travels abroad this summer, you'll probably want to pop in. Though we can't promise flashing lights and hallucinatory day-glo colors with the clothes in person. (Fashion Copious)
