Foundation can be one of the most intimidating makeup basics out there, giving even the most dedicated beauty junkies reason to pause. But you'll never have to fear foundation again, thanks to makeup artist extraordinaire Pat McGrath—who creates makeup looks for shows like Prada, Balenciaga, and Dior, to name a few. Here, she shares how to get it right:
"Lightly apply foundation with your fingers, but rub away the cheek area, or you can add a light moisturizer to the apples of your cheeks to help diffuse the foundation. Revealing your cheeks will bring your features back in and give you a more natural look. Finish by just powdering down the center of the face."
