Lunch Plans Tomorrow? Here’s A Great Idea

Admit it. Come Friday afternoon, you're already a little checked out (we won't tell your boss). So, in lieu of taking an extra long stroll to pick up lunch, snag a seat at the 57th Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show. Runway show, cocktails, and lunch? Yes, please!

The presentation showcases casual and evening apparel from emerging designers, as well as branded wares from top Chicago retailers. Here's the really cool part: The audience gets the opportunity to vote for their favorite up-and-coming designer. The winner will return the following year and open the show with his or her fall collection. To put into perspective what a super-cool honor this is, previous recipients included big names like Maria Pinto, Bill Blass, Anne Klein, and Donna Karan. Competing this year are designers Lyn Devon, Tess Giberson, Wes Gordon, Stacy Lomman, Misha Nonoo, Rolando Santana, Verlaine, and Rubin Singer. Already have a favorite picked out?
