Tom Binns is one of our favorite jewelry designers—the daringly witty iconoclast makes big cuffs out of Swarovski crystals and some of the coolest bib necklaces on the market. So imagine our surprise to see that Givenchy, a way more recognizable name with a bigger advertising budget and higher visibility, just launched a new Neon Collection that is almost crystal for crystal Tom Binns. The Bib Necklace, priced at $350, is not only a few hundred cheaper than Binns', but features the same pops of yellow stones set in crystal. The other two pieces, a pendant necklace and earrings, retail for $195 and $85, respectively, and will be sold at—get this—Macy's. Not that we're particularly complaining. Way better than dropping thousands upon thousands for Tisci's gold chains! Although our heart goes out to Binns for the injustice. (Nitrolicious)
