Look Good, Do Good: Celebrate Falling Whistles’ New Charity Project Tonight

DANNIJO-Brass-Fringe_FallingWhistlesSLIDE
After a successful (and chic) collaboration with DANNIJO designers Danielle and Jodie Snyder, the founders of non-profit group Falling Whistles are launching a new tech-savvy initiative, and they're rolling into town tonight to launch it with a party at Tattoo Bar.
The organization is dedicated to rehabilitating child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, an area devastated by civil war, and with the new project, called the Face Campaign, they'll send photos of supporters directly to the White House. During the kickoff party, a $10 donation lets you sip on some sweet (and eco-friendly!) cocktails, jam to tunes from DJ Eskay, and rub elbows with founder Sean Carasso. What does it take to be part of the Face Campaign? Just log on, snap a photo of your cutest smile, and submit. Soon your photo will be overlaid with the words “I want peace in Congo” and passed along to the powers that be. What could be more empowering?
When: Tuesday, November 22, 8 p.m.
Where: Tattoo Bar, 1413 K Street NW; 202-408-9444.
