One of our favorite young designers, Erik Hart, who always manages to tickle our fancies with simple yet elegant pieces, definitely stepped it up a few notches for Resort '10. He kept the palette simple (black, white, shots of cream and charcoal), but the intricately twisted, draped, and wrapped pieces are anything but. For day, there are chiffon skirts that are both sheer in places and twisted to form intricate webs in others, while a clean white shawl is the hipper update on summer's white blazer. For night, there's a jet-black paneled leather shift dress and an update on the classic bandage dress—in rouched chiffon that wraps around your body like second skin. See, we weren't lying when we predicted Hart would be one to watch this year, were we?
