This is not a false alarm.
After months of controversial negotiations that had both actors and fans on edge, it looks like Entourage is finally making its way onto the big screen — hooray!
“It’s a go. Love you all,” tweeted the show's creator and screenwriter, Doug Ellin, alongside a photo of the cast. Studio sources say that the deals are not closed, but everyone is optimistic. The cast members who were holding up the negotiations — including Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Kevin Connolly — are in the final stages of completing their deals.
Jeremy Piven, who was the most hesitant of the crew to reprise his role as Ari Gold, was convinced to return and consequentially negotiated a generous contract that included a portion of the film's profits. The other cast members stalled on signing, as well (and shared their discontent on various social media platforms), hoping to finalize similar, lucrative deals.
Ferrara, who appeared on The Wendy Williams Show on Monday to promote his new movie Last Vegas, said during his interview that the Entourage movie is "looking real good," and a deal for it "could be closed today."
All we can say is we're more than grateful everyone put their issues aside for some major silver screen magic — snaps all around!
