Fourteenth Street boutique Redeem, a mecca for moody, forward-thinking essentials from Kai Aakmann, Funktional, Carla Fernandez, and Oak NYC, is already one of our favorite spots to find the coolest indie jewelry designs in town. And now that owner Lori Parkerson is carrying Eilisain Jewelry, we know our love is even more well-deserved. The line of edgy rings, necklaces, and earrings is inspired by nature — specifically, animal claws, shells, and teeth — and North Carolina-based designer Lisette Fee casts each piece from a real-life example that she (or her bf) finds. The latest collection, dubbed The Hunted, comprises precious metals and raw stones like tourmaline, azurite, and amethyst. A little dark and spooky, a little tough, and a little glam, these are the kinds of pieces we'd reach for every day (if we were lucky enough to have a jewelry box full of 'em). In short? We're completely smitten with Fee's work, and if this bronze and tourmaline stunner ended up in our stocking in a few weeks, we would not be mad about it. Would you?
Eilisain The Hunted Ancient Bronze Crow Claw and Black Tourmaline Ring, $170, available at Redeem (1734 14th Street NW; 202-332-7447) and on Etsy.
